Big MAC to go….

Sometimes you need to know your MAC address in a hurry…here are some ways to find it quickly!

– Open a DOS prompt and type “getmac”.  This is useful if you have a single interface but isn’t much use if you have multiple interfaces.

– Open the properties of a network connection and then “hover” the mouse over the “Connect Using” information box (see screenshot below).

– Type IPCONFIG at a DOS prompt, you can even pipe the output to the clipboard using “ipconfig | clip”.

– Run a PowerShell script against a remote machine (providing that the networking is functional!).  For an example try here:
